A nine-month apprenticeship with Florencia Fridman 

This apprenticeship will guide those wanting to incorporate Cacao and Indigenous wisdom into their practice and share these traditions with others. It will be a space to learn, share, and grow on the path toward living life from the heart.

The Objective

This 9-month mentorship experience with Florencia Fridman and assisted by elders and guides aims to support visionaries and leaders to bring ancient wisdom into the modern world. We honor and bring reverence to the ancient traditions and wisdom holders of thousands of years while also finding our own unique voice to become the leaders that we were born to be. 

Cacao is a sacred plant that guides us deeper into our truth, dissolving the blockages that are separating us from our highest potential. Many Indigenous communities all over Mesoamerica have used Cacao as a sacred beverage, connecting us with the divinity that resides within us. We follow in their footsteps.

The Course

During the 9 month journey together we will…

✺ Receive the understanding of Cacao on a physical and energetic level. We will be learning about ourselves in the process of learning the plant spirit of Cacao.

✺ We will touch upon the history of Cacao, its social impact, and physical benefits.

✺ We will explore the traditional way of using Cacao in ritual and ceremony, the preparation process of ceremonial Cacao paste, how to prepare your own sacred Cacao beverage, sacred songs to sing while making the Cacao, and the process of a ceremony (the sequence of how Florencia shares Ceremony).

✺ We will touch on the understanding of the Mayan sacred calendar (for personal use only)

✺ This is not a certified course—it is an apprenticeship where I will share all that has been shared with me through oral tradition, ceremonies, experiences with this path, and self-study.

Our Journey Together

Virtual + In Person

01. Deep Immersion Period
We will be meeting weekly for the first 3 months for 2 hours, meeting on Sundays. Ideally you are present live but if you are unable, recordings will be provided in a private mighty networks space.

02. Post Immersion
After the Immersion Period, we will be meeting 1x monthly for the following 6 months

03. Gathering
One 5-Day In Person Retreat in
📍 Chiapas, Mexico

**There will be two retreat options in Chiapas, Mexico. The group will be divided into two different retreats to keep the groups small + intimate.
First retreat will take place in June 12-16, 2024. Second retreat will take place October 23-27, 2024.

01. Deep Immersion Period

1x Per Week Virtual Gatherings
We will meet weekly for in depth discussions which include structured + intuitive lessons tailored to the groups needs, deep dives on specific topics, energetic lessons, guest teachers + so much more.

Cacao Virtual Circle Access
During our 9 month journey together, you will have access to the Florecer Virtual Cacao Circles which meet 2x per week via the Florecer Mighty Networks. This is optional but a beautiful way to connect with our larger community.

Journey Check In
A lot can come up during this time of deep inquiry. We are happy to offer a mid journey check in call with Florencia for 20 minutes.
You also have the option to receive discounted 1-on-1 mentoring with Florencia during this time.

5 Day Retreat in Chiapas Mexico
Gathering in community is an integral part of this experience. The in person component comprises of a safe container to collectively deep dive into how to truly hold a container for others in ceremony spaces. Expect yoga + movement, breathwork practices, logistics behind serving cacao, community based play and personal introspection. Each retreat container is different depending on the needs of the group. Food + Lodging is included in the apprenticeship cost.

02. Post Immersion

After our first 3 months together in the immersion portal, we will be meeting for 6 months on a monthly basis. Together we will check in on your process, as well as give guidance and support on any aspect necessary.

Florencia is a self-empowerment artist working with heart opening therapies involving holistic nutrition, ceremonial cacao, yoga, sound and breath as instruments for transformation. She has worked with Indigenous Mayan culture of Guatemala and the Sápara community of Ecuador.

FAQs

  • You will fill out the application as thoughtfully and thoroughly as you can. This is perhaps our first touch point, so please take the time…and perhaps sit with cacao while filling out the application. Upon receiving your response we will be in contact to schedule an interview with you.

  • Ideally you are present for as many sessions as possible. We ask that you aim to only miss two sessions, but we understand some people are tuning in from different time zones. All sessions will be recorded and added to the Florecer Mighty Networks Space, exclusive to the apprenticeship cohort.

  • Upon connecting with you via your interview we are happy to offer paid in full and payment plan options.

    We are happy to offer a 5 month payment plan. The cost wil reflect a 3% transaction charge.

  • We understand that a lot can come up during this time of deep inner work. You will have support via our weekly meetings for the first 3 months, you also have the option to attend our bi-weekly virtual cacao circles, in addition you receive 1 mid journey call with Florencia.

    But If you are in need of extra support during this time you are welcome to book a 1-on-1 mentoring call with Florencia at a discounted rate.
