I’m a mestiza woman from Ecuador who is finding her roots in the relationship to life. I’m a mother and Im native to this land. Daughter of this sun and this earth! Related to all! Alive because of everything that sustains my life. Completely in reverence to the sacred spirits that give me a breath.
Im a vision quester and sundancer. I walk by the hand of elders that have guided me in the path of committed service, through rituals and ceremonial practices. Im a prayer, and one of the ways I pray in gratitude to the mystery is through music. My voice is an intuitive guide that has taught me so much since I was a little girl. I have grown into a woman who trusts her self, and singing has been a protagonist in that quest.
The name that I received from my grandfather is Huaira Takiri, it means “The one who brings the music from the wind”. I feel honored and humbled by the beautiful responsibility to stay true and present. To remember the channel that I am in this continues Ayni (reciprocity) in life.
I studied music since I was a little girl, but the moment I encounter the medicine path my perspective of sound and expression changed completely. My relationship to my self and my surroundings shifted. As if now I was able to hear the whispers that were beating there all along. For more than a decade now I share practices that I have learned from guides and other modalities that I have received from the mystery that keep developing as I walk. I embrace the opportunity to offer my self in love through a devoted practice with my voice. Many of my songs have traveled the world accompanying ceremonies and the dancefloor i’m sure you have dance to some of my beats!! Thank you for receiving.
